Combining a rich learning experience, with science and fun, The Aesthetic Show (TAS) continues to elevate the standards for medical aesthetic education.
This year’s event, taking place July 5 – 8 at the Wynn Resort in Las Vegas, will completely immerse attendees in aesthetic medicine’s hottest trends and procedures. An incomparable educational program includes dedicated breakout workshops taught by a faculty of the most influential experts in the industry.
Highlighting specific products and treatments, breakout scientific workshops provide attendees with a focused learning experience in a more intimate setting. The show promises extensive coverage of the current mega trends driving aesthetic medicine: regenerative science, male aesthetics and women’s health.
From mainstay technologies to cutting edge innovations, these workshops enhance the overall TAS experience. Experts share their personal experiences, tips and insights, perform live demonstrations. Attendees can also earn continuing medical education (CME) credits.
Women’s health is one of the fastest growing segments in aesthetic medicine. In one workshop, attendees can learn a comprehensive approach to the Mommy Makeover. Tahl Humes, D.O., will focus on restoring the pre-baby body and improving the patient’s quality of life via a combination of energy-based procedures, including body sculpting, treatment of stretch marks, vaginal rejuvenation and vulvar remodeling. A live demonstration will be included.
Gregory Laurence, M.D., will lead a workshop dedicated to enhancing female wellness via non-ablative CO2 laser therapy combined with platelet-rich plasma (PRP). Highlights will include the advantages of CO2 treatment for vaginal atrophy, laxity, stress urinary incontinence and sexual dysfunction, as well as how adding the PRP O-shot® will further enhance results and patient satisfaction.
In addition, “What Men Want: The Complete Male Patient Course” will feature dermatologists Jason Emer, M.D., and Terrence Keaney, M.D., who will discuss the most profitable and high-demand procedures to attract more male patients to your practice. Updates on the latest clinical advancements in platelet-rich plasma (PRP) for hair regrowth, microneedling and combination treatments for facial aesthetics, as well as extracorporeal shockwave therapy for erectile health will be covered. Attendees can earn 1 CME credit upon completion of the course.
Intimate health for men and women seems to be a recurring topic in many of this year’s workshops. In “Sexy for Life: Shockwave Therapy for Longevity in Men’s and Women’s Sexual Health,” Maryann Prewitt, M.D., will present the latest non-surgical therapies to enhance sexual wellness, including human identical hormone optimization, laser medicine for sexual aesthetics, and extracorporeal shockwave therapy to treat erectile dysfunction and female pelvic floor health. She will reveal how these emerging therapies have enhanced the lives of her patients.
For anyone unsure of how intimate health fits into an aesthetic practice, Charles Runels, M.D., will explain how these two different, but interconnected segments are part of the same patient satisfaction equation. The latest clinical and marketing updates for PRP, combination therapies with fillers, radiofrequency, laser and shockwave will be covered. Attendees can earn 1 CME credit upon completion of this course.
Another workshop focused on combination protocols will feature Kian Karimi, M.D., who will perform a live facial rejuvenation demonstration incorporating injectable fillers, polydioxanone (PDO) threads and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF).
The importance of Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement (BHRT) in men and women will be discussed by Enrique Jacome, M.D., and Neal Rouzier, M.D., This workshop reviews BHRT from a scientific standpoint, with extensive examination of peer-reviewed medical research to facilitate a better understanding of the benefits of incorporating hormone therapy into a practice. Attendees will see a live demonstration of hormone pellets being implanted.
One theme that many of the scientific workshops have in common is the implementation of regenerative therapies into broader treatment regimens. Along these lines, Ted Lain, M.D., will discuss growth factors and stems cells in two separate workshops. His presentations will specifically focus on the benefits of using growth factor products post-procedure and how the combination of stem cell activators with growth factors improves internal and external aging factors will be covered.
TAS is continuing to expand its program content with new workshops being added daily. These breakout sessions will take place on Friday and Saturday from 1 to 3 pm. Space is limited.
